Theresa Oats has been a full-time painter since 1988. She lives and paints in the countryside of Loleta, CA. Theresa is an accomplished and award-winning landscape painter who is well-known for painting plein air. Theresa also paints figures and is perhaps best known for her flower portraits. Her recent work strips away the surroundings and focuses exclusively on the uniqueness of each bloom. Working with oils, the vivacity of cadmium reds, yellows, and oranges, give Theresa’s blooms their intensity and arresting vibrancy. She lives in Loleta, CA, with her husband, artist Jim McVicker.
