Stock Schlueter

Stock Schlueter

Stock Schlueter was born in Oakland, California, and his earliest memories are on his family’s self-sufficient mountain ranch perched on about ten acres above the Trinity River. There he grew up with a young life full of adventure taking advantage of being in the mountains and living with the river in his heart. Art gave him a way to share how he felt about it all. Once he earned his degree in Fine Art at the University of Northern Colorado, he moved back to Northern California and started a varied and celebrated career. In 2016, he took a trip around the United States with his wife that produced 250 plein air painting in 11 months. In 2019, he went to Bhutan with Paul Ricard and painted over 30 pieces in a month, and wrote a book about the experience. Stock has earned many distinguished awards and honors throughout his career.
