Sarah Hansen is a self-taught, award-winning artist and instructor. She has been painting for over 30 years. Her love of the outdoors began as a child in Colorado. The wilderness has a special place in her heart. Sarah moved to Portland, Oregon in 1987, where she worked as a commercial and residential designer. While raising three boys, Sarah began to delve into traditional watercolor painting. She quickly earned recognition for her realistic, emotional portraits. Today, Sarah can be found creating acrylic and watercolor landscapes from her studio in Terrebonne, Oregon. She teaches workshops and her art is collected regionally and abroad. A highly awarded artist, Sarah is a member of American Women Artists, Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists, Plein Air Painters of Oregon, and a signature member of Northwest Watercolor Society.
