Mark Holland and Cindy Lewis

Mark Holland and Cindy Lewis

Mark Holland and Cindy Lewis are nationally-renowned sculptors who, after 30 years of fulltime RVing and studying their subjects first hand, made their home near Chiloquin, OR, along the Pacific Flyway. Although each can create a piece solo, they have always preferred to work as a team to create their sculptures. When carving birds, they like to put their work in progress out with live birds to check for accuracy in details such as the width of the head or the proportion of the bill. In recent years, they have been honored sculptors at such prestigious exhibits as the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition and the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum’s premier juried show, “Birds in Art.” Mark Holland’s spirit left his body in October 2021 at the age of 92. He was creating and birding till the end. Every piece on display is a team effort.
