Lauren Forcella

Lauren Forcella

Lauren Forcella has been painting for 27 years. Self-taught, painting dropped into her life as part of a spiritual experience while raising her children. Some fans call Lauren a translator for Mother Earth. She grew up immersed in nature in Lewiston and Redding, backpacking as a child in the Trinity Alps. Lauren was first a career hydrogeologist, but painting was her true path. As a contemporary impressionist, her style is called au premier coup, or ‘first coup,” meaning that each section of a painting is completed on the first pass. Along with rich colors and thick emotive brushwork, Lauren is able to impart the palpable aliveness of our beautiful, intelligent planet. Lauren has been featured in Vogue, GQ, World of Interiors, House of Coco, and Conde Nast Traveler.
