Charity Hubbard

Charity Hubbard

Charity Hubbard is a professional oil painter, founder and head instructor of Rogue Classical Atelier, compiling and designing an art college program that now has been approved and endorsed by Art Renewal Center.   She finds inspiration in the landscapes, architecture and people of Southern Oregon as well as from her travels around the world. Trained in perspective and drafting, Charity has enjoyed freelance work for architects and builders, rendering technical yet artistic illustrations for advertising purposes.  This kind of past study and work has served her well given her love for painting architecture. Charity prefers to start a painting from life, often finishing it from photo reference. This current showing is of scenes from a recent Rogue Classical Atelier school trip to Europe – England, France and Italy.  All painted on location, then finished from photo reference.

“It is a joy to find inspiration in the challenge of capturing life as it happens, staying true to the mood and nature of what is in front of me. Each moment is a gift and a place in time…it’s a privilege to persevere in portraying the spirit of a moment in visual expression.”
