The 2017 Art Show & Sale Artists:
--- Barbara Enochian lives in Redding, CA. She grew up exploring creativity with her father, who was an artist. He instilled in Barbara a love of visual images and a desire to explore materials. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Art History during the era of Abstract Expressionism and the Bay Area Figurative movement. Later Barbara returned to college to study art, focusing on form, design, and color, using acrylics, watercolors, and printmaking. She looks for shapes, patterns, color relationships, and composition, while drawing her inspiration from the intrinsic beauty of nature. Barbara paints into wet washes of watercolor to make the surface glow, while creating colorful dark shadows that enliven her composition. Her intention is to draw the viewer in with bold simplicity. Barbara also teaches art in Redding, CA. Learn more at www.barbaraenochian.com
