FAVELL MUSEUM ART SHOW & SALE 2017 / September 15 – October 28, 2017

An annual exhibition features original, contemporary, representational art, including oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, bronze & wood sculpture by over 30 artists from across the West. Sales benefit the non-profit museum.
Closing Event – October 28th from 5 to 8 pm. Light appetizers, wine and beer. Announcement of People’s Choice award winners.

--- Melanie Thompson is a graphic designer, turned wildland firefighter—digging fireline, hiking, and sleeping under the stars. The fierce beauty of nature inspires Melanie to combined her love of adventure with her art. She has received numerous awards and recognition as a plein air artist, including “Best Artist Under 30” from Plein Air Magazine. Drawing upon her experiences, Melanie produces powerful paintings in the spirit of the American West. Her paintings of iconic locations near her homeland, including Hells Canyon and Dry Fall, draw the viewer in to experience the dust, hot sun, or shade of a passing cloud.
